About this piece
| This antique Tekke rug, hand-knotted from wool in Russia, features the traditional design elements that distinguish rugs from this tribe. Once considered the most influential of the Turkmen tribes, the Tekke weavers were known for their refined pieces and diverse designs. Featuring the iconic "gul" design, ram's horn motifs, and characteristically bold crimson and navy hues, this one-of-a-kind antique is prized today for its authenticity and aesthetic. Vegetable dyes and traditional crafting methods combine to create a one-of-a-kind work of art for the modern home. |
