About this piece
Beautiful Antique Rust Background Farhan Persian Rug D11599, Country of Origin / Rug Type: Persian Rug, Circa Date: 1900 – This beautiful antique Persian Sarouk Farahan rug features autumnal colors dominate the landscape, resulting in a brilliant display of color that seems almost nostalgic in its presentation. The warm colors invite the viewer to explore the Persian rug’s depths, and the clever use of dark and light contrasting around the borders establishes a clear grounding presence that helps define the appearance of the antique area rug as a whole. The largest border is surrounded on both sides by two thinner ones, which creates an even more refined arrangement, one that leads the viewer’s eyes effortlessly to the center of the antique Oriental rug, where the largest, “diamondesque” form at the center features a darker color palette to dominate the lighter landscape.
