About this piece
An antique Amritsar piece, woven in India around the beginning of the twentieth century. This charming antique rug is characterized primarily by its olive background, as well as by its beautiful flowing all-over geometric design. Throughout the piece, flowing, undulating floral and geometrical elements twist and turn, creating a classically beautiful, luxurious allover pattern. The series of inner and outer borders that frame this graceful field are especially attractive, featuring charming floral elements. A gorgeous and graceful composition, this antique Amritsar rug from India is resplendent with classical beauty.
